Dr Wendell Sun, earned his doctoral degree from Cornell University, is a professor at University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, Shanghai, and the chief scientist at Ruijian Biomedical Corporation, Beijing. Before returning to China, he hold the senior positions as the scientific fellow of LifeCell Corporation, a regenerative medicine company located in New Jersey, USA, and as an associate professor at Department of Biological Sciences, National University of Singapore, Singapore. Dr. Sun has been a member of the Society for Cryobiology for 20+ years. He has served the community of low temperature biology as the Chairman of the Student Awards Committee, the Treasurer of the Society, the Editorial Board Member of CryoLetters, Cryobiology, as well as Biopreservation and Biobanking (formerly Cell Preservation Technology). Dr. Sun's interest spreads from anhydrobiosis, cell/tissue preservation, freeze-drying to in situ human tissue regeneration using animal-derived xeno-matrices.
